In order to make online transactions Safe & Secure, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has passed a new mandate with effect from 1st August 2009, wherein online credit card based transactions will include a new verification process. From the 1st of August 2009, every time you make an online payment, you will be directed to your bank's website where you will be asked to enter an additional password as an extra level of authentication.

So register with your bank before the 1st of August to continue your online transactions.

What is process of getting this 'Extra Password'?

To get an 'extra password', log on to your bank's website and complete the registration process. On completion you will be given an extra password that will have to be used whenever you purchase anything online with your credit card. Different banks have different kinds of processes for registration. So we request you to contact your bank.

When will I have to provide the 'extra password' that I receive?

Google’s revenues in the first three months of this year fell below the preceding quarter for the first time in the company’s history as the global recession brought an end to its unprecedented 11-year growth spurt.

“No company is recession proof, Google is feeling the impact,” said Eric Schmidt, chief executive officer, although he added the latest figures showed that Google was still performing strongly at a difficult time.

While Wall Street generally assesses companies on their financial results compared with the same quarter a year before, high-growth companies such as Google are frequently judged on their sequential, quarter-to-quarter growth rates.

The search giant said revenues had slipped to $5.51bn in the three months to the end of March, 3 per cent lower than the final quarter of 2008, the first time that the company, which was renowned for its stellar growth, had ever suffered such a decline.

In spite of that, Google’s revenues were still 6 per cent higher than a year before, pointing to the greater resilience of its search engine business in the face of the recession than other forms of online advertising.

Mr Schmidt blamed the falling growth rate on the fact that internet users are clicking on adverts less frequently, while advertisers are offering to pay less per click. These are rational responses to the recession and suggest that Google’s fundamental business model is continuing to function as expected in the downturn, he added.

i'm not able to open my drives like as usual

Normally when a virus infects a windows system which causes a drive opening problem, it automatically creates a file named "autorun.inf" in the root directory of each drive.

This "autorun.inf" file is a read only, hidden and a system file and the folder option is also disabled by the virus. This is deliberately done by the virus in order to protect itself. autorun.inf initiates all the activities that the virus performs when you try to open any drive.

You have to just delete this file and restart your system to correct this problem.

Follow the set of commands below to show and delete the autorun.inf

1. Open Start>>Run and type cmd and press enter. This will open a command prompt window. On this command prompt window type the following steps.

2. type cd\

3. type attrib -r -h -s autorun.inf

4. type del autorun.inf

5. now type d: and press enter for d: drive partition. Now repeat steps 3 and 4. Similarly repeat step 5 for all your hard disk partition.

Restart your system and your trouble will be fixed.

Otherwise, there would be a boy apparently deeply meditating (see the photo below). He left the venue early Saturday night and hasn’t been seen in the area since then.
